aco rap is a washable, reusable food wrap made of organic cotton fabric produced through fair trade and coated with an oil based on beeswax from Gifu Prefecture.

When warmed by hand, the beeswax softens and tightly wraps the container or food.  It can be used for a variety of dishes from small bowls to bowls, and can directly wrap small garlic, ginger, and even large cabbage.

If you wash it gently with water after use and let it dry naturally, you can use it repeatedly for about six months to a year, even if you use it every day. If you are concerned about stains, use soap or environmentally friendly dishwashing detergent.

The beautiful colors of the wraps are naturally dyed by the craftsmen of Kanai Kougei, known for their Oshima pongee from Amami Oshima. There are five colors: mud, suho, honeydew, hisui, and blue. Since each piece is carefully dyed by hand, the color and shade of each piece is different, creating a unique and tasteful texture.

As they are plastic-free and made only from natural materials, they can be returned to the earth after use.
