Plastic that returns to nature x "Aizu lacquer" x Maki-e
This sake cup is made by the fusion of technology and tradition.
Plant-derived plastic is used for sake cups. When buried in soil or compost, it becomes only water and carbon dioxide in 1.5 to 3 months. It is also an ocean-friendly plastic that biodegrades in seawater.
The mountains and nature reflected in the filled drinks
and nature reflected in the filled bottle
and nature to remain fresh and beautiful forever.
We hope that the mountains and nature reflected in the sake will always be fresh and beautiful.
Aizu lacquer and maki-e craftsmen have created a unique and distinctive finish.
■ To reduce plastic waste to zero.
SanYoshi's desire to create products with zero plastic waste
PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-derived biodegradable resin that has met the needs of the times.
Plastic, which biodegrades into water and carbon dioxide in both seawater and soil, is an ideal material for ecological products. After much trial and error, it finally took the form of SHISUIhai.
We were also particular about the decoration, and attempted to collaborate with Aizu lacquerware, one of the traditional industries of Aizu. Aizu-nuri is an industry with a history of more than 430 years, dating back to the time of Ujisato Gamo, a feudal lord of 910,000 koku in Mutsu-Kokkai Tsu during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1600). The transparent, break-resistant, plant-derived plastic has been used to create products with a rich individuality by Aizu's lacquer and maki-e craftsmen. We hope that clean water from the foot of Mount Aizu will flow into the sea, and that the earth, the planet of water, will shine blue forever. This is the starting point of our eco-products.
<What is biodegradable plastic (PLA) = polylactic acid resin?>
PLA is a plant-derived plastic made from starch, sugarcane, and lactic acid bacteria. It has been confirmed that PLA is non-toxic and harmless when used for tableware and food packaging.
When buried in soil or compost after use, it will be biodegraded to only water and carbon dioxide by microbial enzymes in about 1.5 to 3 months, depending on its shape.
Although the product can be biodegraded in seawater by microorganisms, it takes about 10 years for biodegradation, depending on the shape of the product, since there are fewer microorganisms and the water temperature is lower than that on land.
Water and carbon dioxide are converted back to starch through photosynthesis by plants, creating a carbon-neutral cycle in which carbon is reused as a shield ring.
