OSUSUME OF THE WEEK: Painting Miso-oke with Kakishibu

After enjoying the aroma of Yoshino Sugi (Japanese cedar) for a year or two, I applied Kakishibu to the Oke to prevent mold.    The aroma is gone, and the fresh look of Sugi changed to a rather chic color.
